Free fonts by julesart are free for personal use only. To use them for any commercial use, you must have either a Basic Commercial Use of Fonts Licence which is enclosed when you buy fonts at our official sites and has certain requirements, or an Extra Commercial Use of Fonts Licence which allows you to use the font in something that will be sold to more than one buyer.
I sometimes get asked why Templeton Thompson, who used my font on her CD cover, got away with using just a Basic Commercial Use of Fonts Licence? And the answer is that she had a little notice on the back of her CD cover which said *font: julesgirltalk from urgentartwork.co.nz* – I know this because she sent me a copy of the CD for my records. Which is part of the conditions of using the fonts commercially as per the terms of the Basic Commercial Use of Fonts Licence.

While there is not an actual number of items which determines the cut-off point of an item advancing from basic commercial use to extra commercial use, more than 2000 sales usually goes beyond basic commercial use to extra commercial use at least in other types of licences, such as use of photographic images etc. At that point, for example, using a font on the cover of a kindle book where the sales increase to over 2000 copies, an Extra Commercial Use of Fonts Licence may be applied for, if sales have not slowed down to the point where it would not be fair. If you are in any doubt, feel free to get in touch and ask, as we are very flexible especially where the terms of the basic commercial use (as described above in the case of Templeton Thompson) are followed and especially supportive of the creative and entrepreneurial ideas of others.
This license is more expensive because the Extra Commercial Use of Fonts Licence lets you use fonts in something which will be sold, web templates for sale, t-shirts or posters for sale or DVDs, CDs or games for sale etc. This licence also allows exemption from requirements to provide credit & information about the copyright holder. Apply.
